My 8mm movie camera
with a 10-40mm zoom lens (manual & powered). Aperture 1.7. Ran usually at 16 frames per second but could also switch to 12 & 24 fps. It was powered by four AA batteries. It also had a supplementary screw-on 6.5-26mm lens.

The film was actually 16mm wide - one side of the film was exposed during the first run through, then into a dark space to open the back and swap he spools around to run the film through again this time exposing the other side.
The film was sent to Australia for processing, which took about 14 days, so it was a long wait to see what you had filmed.

Now processed and ready for projecting, which was always very exciting.

Remember that this was in the 1950's so well before video and digital.
